I bet I am the only person alive who watched Mary Lou get a hatchet and kill roosters and helped me pick them and prepare them for the freezer. I had bought straight run chicks and most of them ended up being game roosters. I mentioned that to Mary Lou and she said she would come out and help me "dress" them, which she did. Now that's a real friend.

And she never failed to make Rick fried apricot pies for his birthday, a whole plate full of them and they looked perfect and tasted even better.

Spent many nights playing cards with Bill and Mary Lou, Mary was a very loving, caring and supportive friend, One who you could never get ahead of on good deeds. She was one who was always there when
... you needed her.
How my kids loved going to her house and getting the Little Debbie Oatmeal Cookies and getting to slide down their stairs.

Our lives were so blessed by knowing and being friends with Mary Lou and Bill and their children. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time of great loss but your loss is truly heaven's gain.
