Jessica, you had a sweet, talented, energetic, dedicated mother. You were her pride and joy. I know you and your children will miss her terribly. Remember the good times. Mary and I worked side by side on many occasions. She helped with all of the programs. I couldn't have done my part without her. She was a great PE teacher and was always willing to share her talents and ideas with others. Radical Ropers and Field Days were models for others to follow. She loved her students. What a special privilege to have had the opportunity to work with her. She was always a friend to me. She will be missed.

I remember my first day at Woodland Heights, 12 years ago now but Coach Mackey was the one to approach me when she seen me walking the halls and ask if I had a destination I was looking for and asked if I checked in with the front office. I told her I was an employee and she gave me a hug, shook my hand and told me welcome aboard and if I needed anything she would be in the gym. Great great person and coach.

Coach Mackey's love for her students was exceptional. She was the greatest PE teacher ever, and her Radical Ropers team, comprised of only elementary students, was worthy of a gold trophy. She will be missed in this world and most especially by the many students upon whom she showered her love and skills. God shared the best when He sent us Coach Mackey!

Woke up this morning and saw that Coach Mackey passed away 😢 It took me back to my childhood at Woodland Heights. She was the BEST and taught me so much! We had the best field days and made PE what it is supposed to be. She loved her job and took it very serious. I wasn’t good enough to be on the Radical Ropers Haha BUT my twin sister was so that was fun watching her compete. A few months ago I was thinking about her because Kenny Vaccaro posted himself doing some of the tricks she had taught him. She loved all of kids so well. Thank you Coach Mackey for making an impact in my life.
