Alena Grace McKee
Alena Grace McKee passed away Sunday, September 29, 2019. at her home in Graford, Texas, surrounded by her family.
Service is 11 a.m. Thursday, October 3, at the St. Francis Catholic Church at Possum Kingdom Lake. Burial will be in McAdams Cemetery. Visitation is 6 p.m. Wednesday and a Rosary will be held at 7 p.m. at Baum-Carlock-Bumgardner Funeral Home in Mineral Wells.
Alena was born September 2, 1940, in Seymour, Texas, the daughter of Stanley Sr. and Lilly (Stavvingall) Ondrieck. After graduating from Seymour High School, she was employed with the United States Postal Service in Bomarton, Texas. She transferred to Graford in 1980 to serve as the postmaster. She married Robert McKee in April 1980. They shared their lives and raised their sons, Kyle and Randy, in Graford. She was a lifetime member of the St. Francis Catholic Church at Possum Kingdom Lake. She retired as postmaster in 2006. Alena loved her family; she was a wonderful cook and seamstress and loved the great outdoors. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Alena is survived by her loving husband of 39 years, Robert McKee; her son, Billy Kyle Nunley; grandsons, Ty Nunley, Stanley Nunley and Spencer Nunley; great-grandchildren, Cooper, Cutter, Shayden, Olivia, Laila, Parker and Karter; brother, Johnny Ondrieck; sisters-in-law, Ruth Ondrieck, Delores McKee, Melissa McKee, Paula Rogowski, Donna Lemley, Peggy Kinder and Laura Lee; brothers-in-law, Michael McKee, Johnny McKee, Joe Rogowski, Ronnie Lemley, Royce Lee, Jerry Mitchell and Eddie Wakefield; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley Sr. and Lilly Ondrieck; brother, Stanley Jr. Ondrieck; son, Randy McKee; brother-in-law, Jimmy McKee; and sisters-in-law, Patsy Mitchell and Deanna Wakefield.
