Donald Ray Floyd, 82, passed away Aug. 11, 2016.
Service is 2 p.m., Sunday, Aug. 14, at Spring Creek Baptist Church, in Weatherford, Texas, with burial following at Floyd Family Cemetery. Visitation is 6-8 p.m. Saturday at Galbreaith-Pickard Funeral Chapel.
He was born July 17, 1934, the son of Gaston and Estelle Griffith Floyd, in Weatherford. Donald was a member of Spring Creek Baptist Church and attended First Baptist Church of Mineral Wells, where he was actively involved. He ran the Spring Creek Musical for many years. Donald retired from the U.S. Army and was a rancher.
Survivors include his daughters, Janice James, Donice Rogers and Lisa Walters; son, David Floyd; grandchildren, Robbey Rogers, Joshua James, Jacob James, Vanessa Bailey, Justin Floyd, Jerry Friedale, Shane Walters and Nathan Walters; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; his wife of 50 years, Belba; and grandson, Jeremy James.
