Georgia Ann Bonin Bounds
Georgia Ann Bonin Bounds went to be with our Lord and Savior and receive the gift of eternal life on March 16, 2020.
Georgia was born on November 10, 1946, in Salina, Kansas, to George M. Bonin and Johnnie Evelyn Brooks Bonin. Her father was stationed at Fort Riley, Kansas, and was then transferred to Fort Wolters near Mineral Wells, Texas. Once her father was discharged from the Army, the family resided in Fort Worth, Texas, where Georgia spent her childhood and teenage years.
Georgia married her childhood sweetheart, Jimmy Bounds, on November 20, 1964, at St. Andrews Catholic Church in Fort Worth, Texas. Jimmy was stationed in Lincoln, Nebraska, where they resided until 1966 when Jimmy was called to serve in Vietnam. Georgia moved to Santo, Texas, where Jimmy grew up and the place she called home until her passing. The people she met and the friends she made in her hometown of Santo meant the world to her. She was so proud of her community and was loved by so many.
Georgia's beautiful spirit, incredible passion, and strong Christian faith will be remembered the most. She was loving, kind, fun, energetic, and very generous. Georgia was preceded in death by her parents and by her husband, Jimmy Bounds in 2008.
Georgia is survived by her brother Mike Bonin (Elizabeth), nephew Texas W. White, Sr. (Catherine), niece Laurie Bonin Wade (Steve), niece Michelle Bonin Weeks (Dirk), niece DeLora Richards (Gary), niece Andrea Bonin Rodriguez (Jesse), niece Lizann Bonin, numerous cousins and great nieces and nephews, her women's bowling team, and her forever dedicated caregiver and friend Tonia Dement.
Georgia's Celebration of Life mass will be announced at a later date.

Georgia is the first person who welcomed me to Santo. She was also there to support Sunday Creek almost every day David and I was open. I love and miss your nonjudgmental personality and her smile/kindness/friendship will be remember forever more.

I wrote her a letter when I was a very young teenager telling her how I admired her energy and how she inspired me to grow up like her.I later had a privilege to work with her doing the Census, we reminisced about those days everytime I came back to town.I was glad to call her a good friend.

I first heard of Georgia Bounds at Christmas time when she was the one to make sure there was a Christmas Tree in Santo. When I finally got to meet her, I knew that she had a special place in her heart for Santo and the Santo residents. Our next "getting to know each other" was when she volunteered to deliver Meals on Wheels. She cared about our elderly and wanted to do her part to make sure they were feed and check on. Just a lovely, sweet person. Rest in peace Georgia.

Oh what a glorious day that will be! No more fear , worry or pain for my dear friend . I will see her one day and until then The Lord has giving me beautiful memories. Always in Him, April Elison

Such a sweet person, her and Jimmy were good to all of us growing up. The gas station was a great place to learn about fixing cars and life in general. This young lady could be counted on when you needed to hear the facts and the truth. Georgia was a great friend, and I will miss her beautiful smile and her soft voice. May she rest in the arms of our loving Saviour Jesus Christ !!!!!!

Had many great picking sessions at the Bounds home and many fun afternoons skiing at their lake lot. Jimmy and Georgia were kind and generous friends.
