Jerry Lee Key
Jerry Lee Key passed away Aug 19, 2017.
Service is 10 a.m, Wednesday, Aug. 23, at Galbreaith Pickard Funeral Chapel with interment to follow in Authon Cemetery. Visitation is 6-8 p.m Tuesday at the funeral home.
Jerry was born Feb 21, 1942. He was an ACHA Hall of Fame Member. He spent 35 years training and showing some of the finest cutting horses. Some of Jerry's favorite things were cheering on the Texas Rangers, newborn foals and being a Papa to his grandkids.
He is survived by wife of 57 years, Carolyn Key; two sons, Thad Key and Todd Key and wife Angie Key, all of Garner; three grandchildren, Whitney Key of Fort Worth, and Shelby Key and Cooper Key both of Weatherford; two nephews, Ravis Key II and Gage Key; and his beloved horses.
He is preceded in death by his parents; and his brother, Ravis Key.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks donations go to the National Youth Cutting Horse Association Scholarship Fund in Jerry's honor.
